The universal electric motor with remote electronic control of the rotor speed of the H4 series (pump head) is designed for the repair replacement of such electric motors in modern combined gas boilers, installed in the UK after autumn 2015, with clockwise rotor rotation. The remote control of the rotor speed of the H4 electric motors is carried out using the PWM technology - a low-voltage signal coming from the boiler's electronic board, via a special control cable. This is a universal PWM technology, standardized for pumps used in boilers of all boiler manufacturers without any exception, which are sold on the British market, taking into account new regulations and energy saving requirements in the heating industry.
The H4 Series electric motor is designed to replace failed pump motors in many modern models of wall-mounted gas boilers that have been operated in the UK since 2010. In most cases, engineers servicing wall-mounted boilers recommend their clients do not completely change the pump assembly that has failed, but only change the pump electric motor to restore the boiler operation. And this has become common practice in the UK in recent years. This is done not only to reduce the cost of failed pump repair. The cost of a universal electric motor of the H4 Series is several times cheaper than a complete pump assembly for a wall-mounted boiler. But thanks to the simplicity of the process itself, the time to replace the universal electric motor of the H4 pump is several times less than the time to replace the entire pump in the boiler. The electrical connection when installing the H4 electric motor is made using two special cables, which are included in the kit, in a matter of seconds. The electric motor installation takes no more than 10-15 minutes, taking into account the removal of the old failed motor by unscrewing four bolts, disconnecting it from cables and completely installation of a new H4 Series motor, while replacing an entire pump in some boiler models can take several hours of specialist work.
To make the right choice, you need to know the pump brand that is installed in your boiler and you will see an arrow of rotor speed on the nameplate of this pump. If the rotation arrow indicates clockwise, then the H4 pump is the correct choice. You also need to know the head of your pump, which is measured in meters, and you can see this indicator on the electric motor nameplate in your boiler. The head is usually indicated in meters and corresponds to the numbers 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 meters. In our catalogue you can find a model similar to the specifications of your boiler pump, and you could save at least £200 from your household budget if you take our advice.
H4 Series electric motors do not require maintenance during the entire service life that confirms their high reliability, which is why we successfully offer our customers a 6-year warranty for this equipment.
FEATURES
- All models of the H4 Series electric motor are equipped with a PWM function - this a function built into the motor processor to remote control of pump rotor speed using a remote low-voltage signal supplied via cable from the boiler control board. The PWM function allows the use of our H3 Series electric motors in modern combination boilers where remote control of the pump operating frequency is required.
- The H4 electric motor automation has built-in ELECTRICAL AND THERMAL PROTECTION, which prevent pump breakdown due to external reasons not related to the operation of pump systems. These are malfunctions in the electrical wiring of the building, jamming of the pump rotor rotation due to external objects or due to prolonged idle time without work, short circuit or supply of extremely high voltage to electrical contacts of the pump.
- H4 motors are based on permanent magnet and compact rotor technology for quiet operation and low power consumption.
- The H4 electric motor casing is designed to prevent air from entering it - SELF-VENTILATED DESIGN.
- The pump also has a mode of FORCED AUTOMATIC VENTILATION from air by pressing a button, which is sometimes necessary in complex heat supply systems.
- Built-in error code display system of the pump and determining the types of malfunctions in the electric motor operation.
- Very LOW NOISE LEVEL during electric motor operation.
- Very EASY INSTALLATION of the electric motor using a set of universal bolts that are supplied complete with the H3 electric motor.
- VERY SIMPLE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION, using two special control cables that that are supplied complete with the H3 electric motor.
MATERIALS
- The electric motor casing, in which all its electrical parts are hidden, is aluminium and ventilated, that eliminates internal condensation and corrosion.
- The pump rotor is located directly in the pumped fluid, which ensures its cooling and lubrication, and this is one of the factors of high reliability and extended life cycle of our pumps.
- The impeller is made of PES Series composite material, capable of withstanding high temperature and mechanical overloads, which guarantees a long service life, without replacement throughout the entire life cycle of the pump.
- Each electric motor is tested in production at a pressure of 10 bar and this is a guarantee of perfect tightness and safe operation in closed heating systems, thanks to the special casing shape, the highest fit quality of all internal and external elements of the pump, as well as reliable rubber rings.
- All our electric motors have Class F Insulation because we use the highest quality materials, capable of operating at ambient temperatures up to +40°C and the pump casing temperature limit up to +155°C.
- The electric motor is supplied in a reliable cardboard box, with a set of universal bolts designed for fastening to the cast iron casing of the boiler pump, two control cables, high-temperature rubber gasket, data sheet and warranty instructions.
- Ready for Conversion according to Ecodesign Requirements for 2015 (ErP) with EEI ≤ 0.23
